Heavy Forklifts
With their new series of heavy forklift trucks, Hyundai is targeting a new customer base. A variety of businesses, from the concrete and natural stone industries, to the steel business, the railway sector and the transportation of heavy goods in the ports are all relying upon and working with heavy duty machines. The efficiency and power provided by the units keep operational costs low and provide the best conditions for economical work. These equipment could excel in the nearly all demanding settings.
Providing the necessary power on all of the large capacity units, the Cummins diesel engine varies from 162 horse-power to 250 horse-power. TierIII emission standards are met with engines which have 6 cylinders. These models could take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It provides for a high climbing ability on rough terrain and steep slopes and also provides great acceleration.
To be able to choose 1 of 2 driving modes, the operator could use a switch. While in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on difficult terrain or heavy loads. In the "STP" mode, the trucks can save a lot of fuel during light-duty work. Additionally, just by pressing a switch, the operator can automatically maintain a selected speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is another fuel saving function. The fully automatic transmission of the forklift gently shifts through the gears, making the machine simple to maneuver and comfortable to use.
The well-ventilated cabin provides a spacious and comfortable working place. The cabin combines high performance with fatigue-free work. The powerful heating and air conditioning system helps ensure the operator is comfortable inside. The cab was designed ergonomically to provide a bird's eye view of all of the controls, adding to the unit's overall safety. A CD player and an MP3 player put the finishing touches on giving the nice atmosphere which Hyundai equipment are supposed to have.
