Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck providing great height and versatility. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to lift the cargo to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks aren't able to move the cargo towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are recommended in situations requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift will often utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specifically to raise workers. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a chain or strap which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
