Hazards of Type-G lift trucks
Forklifts perform an important part in the operations of warehouses and other businesses. These machines are capable of lifting and moving immense loads from one place to another. There are many variations on the forklift. The main variation is the way in which different units are fueled. "LP" forklifts are the kind that is most common. They run on liquid propane. Type "E" lift trucks have large rechargeable batteries and run on electricity. Type "D" lift trucks utilize diesel and type "G" run on gasoline. While all lift trucks, similar to any piece of heavy machine, could pose a hazard, gasoline powered forklifts carry the most risks.

Fire
Type G lift trucks can present a fire hazard. Gasoline-fueled lift trucks are not held to rigorous standards in reducing lessening fire hazards. The biggest cause of fire is because of gasoline leaks that allow gasoline fumes to escape. This could result from normal wear and from mishaps or driving on extremely rough terrain. These circumstances pose a danger and could lead to fire. Hence, a standard Type G lift truck must never be used in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed unacceptable. For instance, these kinds of forklifts should not be utilized around hazardous or explosive chemicals.

Explosion
Gas forklifts also pose a danger of explosion, as do liquid propane and diesel based lift trucks. A kind of forklift which operate on gasoline could explode as a result of a serious accident in circumstances where a gasoline leak and an ignition source are both present. An explosion can take place when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Type G forklifts pose a serious inhalation hazard because of toxic fumes. Gasoline fumes can be deadly in high concentrations. Fumes can result from the exhaust itself or from gasoline leaks. Therefore, a Type G forklift is really not recommended for any setting which is poorly ventilated. The exhaust will present a serious danger in enclosed spaces. This kind of lift truck should be used carefully when operated near individuals.
