Designed for Safety
Yale has a great history for providing safe lift trucks which are suitable for a range of uses. The ability to engineer and produce models for enhanced safety comes from the new technology that is available in the company's experience and the material handling business.
Yale likes to integrate new technology which is available into their newest designs. Several of the new technologies that are available are initially applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through functionality and durability testing. The company conducts various reliability development and controlled field tests so as to ensure their products are really safe.
Some of Yale's innovative designs and technology that has been integrated as standard features for their fleet so as to enhance overall safety comprise the following:
Operator Compartment Ergonomics and Controls
The ergonomics in the operator compartment along with the controls are made with state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to guarantee that the operator avoids fatigue as well as heavy repetitive motions. These extra comforts help to increase overall efficiency.
Adjustable Operators Controls and Compartment
Adjustable operator controls enable the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the machine user friendly, regardless of who is utilizing it. Prior to starting their shift, the operator can make certain he or she is as comfortable as she or he could be.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation referred to as the Operator Presence System prevents the use of the equipment if the operator is not in the correct operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on trucks that have internal combustion engines.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The liquid propane gas tank has a drop down design that brings it out from the center of the vehicle to the operator's natural handling position that makes it far easier to change.
