Linamar Corporation, referred to as LNR on the TSX, obtained Skyjack during the month of August 2002. Linamar is best recognized for its production of modules, assemblies and precision-machined components. Linamar's solid balance sheet offers Skyjack with long-term stability and increased strength overall. Skyjack presently has production plants in the USA, Chula Vista and Hungary with support offices in Asia and Europe.
The company offers a complete line of self-propelled scissor lifts. Several models have elevated work heights up to 56ft. Skyjack became a leader within the industry by offering machinery features which combined serviceability, durability, service and quality, making Skyjack scissor lifts known throughout the globe for product reliability. The current Boom lift model lineup of the company consists of telescopic booms. These models provide telescopic booms that feature work heights varying from 45 to 71 feet. During August 2007, the acquisition of Volvo's Material Handling Equipment business complements the acquisition of Carelift Equipment. This business purchase expands Skyjack's Telehandler product offering resulting in the additional VR series telehandlers and the Zoom Boom series.
