Charger Safety
The charger should be the same amperage as the battery. It must be turned off while the battery is being plugged in.

Open Flames
Open fire are not allowed near a charging area and battery. Do not allow items like lighters or matches to be used while somebody is checking the battery fluid levels.

Ventilation
It is vital to keep the battery charging area correctly ventilated. The recharging process could release fumes. These gases are both explosive and toxic.
