Because of the increasing demand for high performing narrow aisle reach trucks, Nissan has started to develop the first pantograph type reach truck within the industry. Introducing the new SRX Platinum Series of reach trucks has become part of the North American market. The Australian launch is scheduled to follow very soon.
The SRX Platinum Series of forklifts come in 3 different load capacities varying from 1360 kilograms to 2000. The system was made because of intensive operator participation on the design. These factors played a huge roll to ensure its acceptance into the hugely competitive reach truck market in the United States. The following outstanding safety and operator comfort features have resulted for the Nissan trucks.
Due to a low step height, entry and exit is simplified. The side stance design makes forward and reverse driving a comfortable experience for the operator. The unit is complete with a gently sloped floorboard that is in place to sit on top of 4 vibration isolators. This particular design offers a relaxed driving position for the operator in a standing shift. Additionally, the SRX Platinum Series provides a cushioned floor mat to provide a smoother and more comfortable ride.
The dual spring suspension system in the caster design adds to the machines smoothness of operation. This particular suspension on rough and uneven driving surfaces, the suspension has been designed to provide much better stability during operation. The thick padding situated beneath the operator's arm further enhances the total comfort factor. There is a cushioned backrest and height adjustable knee pad in place too. The rear overhead guard post and the high operator backrest on the SRX Series offer extra protection for the operator. This is especially essential when working around racking and in tight locations.
Nissan's forklifts have been built with the ergonomically and intuitive designed interior with a multi-function handle, which helps to achieve precise control while lessening operator comfort. Some of the Operational commands include lift and lower, drive, side-shift or other auxiliary function, reach, and the horn can be executed and performed utilizing this single handle.
